This Privacy Policy explains how Klipseed (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Klipseed platform (the “Services”). By using the Services, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: email address and basic profile data you provide (for example, display name, bio, country, and languages).
- Authentication data: when you sign in with Google, we receive an identifier and basic account information as permitted by your Google settings.
- Wallet information: wallet addresses you link to your account and any signatures used to verify ownership of a wallet.
- On-chain transaction data: transactions are recorded on public blockchains. We may store transaction hashes, chain IDs, and related metadata to display deal status.
- Social connections (optional): if a creator connects YouTube through our “Connect” flow, we store the channel identifier and may store a refresh token to keep public channel metadata up to date (e.g., subscriber count).
- TikTok connection (optional): if a creator connects TikTok through TikTok Login Kit, we receive and store a TikTok user identifier (typically open_id), and (depending on approved scopes) basic profile data such as username, display name, and avatar. If we keep the connection active, we may store OAuth tokens (access/refresh) to refresh approved data (e.g., follower count).
- Other social links (optional): you may add links to other platforms (for example, X/Twitter, Instagram, or a website). We store the URLs you provide for display and contact purposes.
- Usage and device data: basic logs and diagnostic data (such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps) to operate, secure, and improve the Services.
- Communications: messages you send via the Platform and support requests.
2. How we use information
- to provide, maintain, and improve the Services;
- to authenticate users and protect accounts;
- to facilitate deals, escrow status tracking, and dispute handling features;
- to show verified creator social links and public channel metadata (when connected);
- to link and display a verified TikTok account in the creator profile (when connected);
- to prevent duplicate linking and account impersonation;
- to send important service messages (security alerts, policy updates, and transactional notices);
- to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
We do not post content to TikTok or YouTube on your behalf. We do not access data beyond the approved scopes you grant during the connection flow.
3. How we share information
We may share information in the following circumstances:
- With other users: your public profile information may be visible to others depending on your privacy settings.
- With service providers: hosting, database, authentication, and infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf.
- For legal reasons: to comply with applicable law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights and safety of Klipseed and others.
- On-chain: blockchain activity is public by design. When you send a transaction, the network broadcasts it publicly, and third parties may be able to associate addresses with activity.
4. Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and local storage for essential functionality such as authentication, session management, and UI preferences (for example, sidebar state). You can manage cookies in your browser settings, but disabling them may affect functionality.
5. Data retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. On-chain data is retained by the blockchain network and may be permanent.
6. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any connected wallet.
7. International users
If you access the Services from outside your country, you understand that your information may be processed in jurisdictions with different data protection laws.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete certain personal information. You can edit profile details in settings, and you can disconnect optional social connections (such as YouTube) from the settings page.
You can disconnect TikTok in Settings. Access can also be revoked from your TikTok account settings. To request deletion of your Klipseed account data, email contact@klipseed.com.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. If we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and may provide additional notice within the Services.
